I think the point they were really trying to illustrate, is that risking your life for questionable goals (I know you believe you are defending our freedom, but this is a can of worms I really don't want to open here) is not the only way to get money for college. In fact, what most young people fail to realize is that, if you take the correct steps you can get your education paid for by the government. If you can't 95% of the time it's because you could afford to go with no financial assistance. For the remaining 5%, there are plenty of financial institutions who would like nothing more than to sell them low interest loans. The increased income you will receive as a result of your education will easily cover your monthly loan payment which usually will cost you about as much as cable TV.
